Dave Miles  Owner /  President of MILES SOUND MUSIC PRODUCTIONS started his career in music at the age of 9 when he was chosen out of 1,200 who tried out for the prestigious California Boys Choir. Once accepted, he was classically trained to sing in 12 languages, taught music theory, dancing and  performing. 

This lead to joining choirs in middle school and high school and being voted the  President of the  V.M.A. (Vocal Music Association) at his local High School.

By the time he was twelve he was already performing in his own bands where he wrote, sang and recorded his own songs. Performing for various schools and events that would allow such a young performer. Then when he was 16 he started to perform and headline at all the local clubs in Southern California including : The Troubadour, The Roxy, The Country Club, The FM Station, The Valley West, Gazzari's, and the Whisky A Go Go, just to name a few. He's sang with the bands Euphoria, Lion, Scarlett Affair, Myth, Emeralde, CODA, Static, Ground, and The Dave Miles Band among many others over the years since. Session work became available from this singing for other artists on various projects.

His love for music lead him to starting his own DJ and sound reinforcement  business, MILES SOUND MUSIC PRODUCTIONS, while still in high school in 1980.

After high school he continued his education by studying music theory, piano, guitar, physics of sound, and broadcasting in college.

To further his knowledge in sound he went to work at Castle Oaks recording studio where he assisted in recording for many major artists, film and TV soundtracks, commercials, and orchestras.

In 1984 Dave decided to build his own recording studio to record his own projects as well as for others . MILES SOUND STUDIOS was born. Starting out as a 4 track demo studio and growing into the digital multi-track studio that it is today.

Since that time he has produced and/or recorded many artists. MILES SOUND STUDIOS  has done albums, singles, demos, commercials, movie and TV soundtracks, and sound effects editing and creation. Taking projects from the production stage all the way to finished masters.

 During all this time Dave was still committed to providing DJ music for various corporate and private events, growing MILES SOUND into the leader in the DJ business in Southern California that it is today.

MILES SOUND is the choice of many Movie and TV companies and their stars for music entertainment. They are the on staff DJ company for such hit TV shows as

Will & Grace, The King of Queens, as well as various other shows and pilots. (See client list for many others)
